Hills Expanding Clothes Prop 1520 HLS115545
Hills have kept this old traditional favourite clothes prop in its range as it give some extra height to lower traditional clothes lines, This Hills clothes prop will extend from 1.35 metres to 2.9 metres. The Hills 115545 includes ground spike to help the prop stay in position especially in windy conditions. The prop is fully galvanised inside and out with a painted finish to give it a longer lasting life. It has an easy simple turn key fixing to lock and unlock the prop when lowering or raising, also a sturdy clip type end for easy locating onto the clothes line.

Cheap but not cheerful. Broke on second use. Has a feeble locking mechanism to fix it at the right length and it sheared off on the second use. I mended it with parcel tape and it lasted two more uses!

The only positive aspect of this product is that it was cheap so I didn't waste too much money. The blunt plastic so called spike on the bottom is less than 5cm in length. This does not brace itself in soil or grass, so your line just falls down and clothes get dirty. The drainage in my garden isn't the best so it can get quite muddy. This clothes prop doesn't stick in my sticky soil, so anyone with a normal garden has no hope.

Does everything you would expect, but it could do with a spike at the base so it can be secured in a lawn or soft earth.

Not built to last
When new it does what it claims to do, i.e. holds up a washing line full of laundry, and as much as any prop can, it looks stylish. Read more

Good quality item

Substantial Weight
