Hills Supadry Hoist Rotary Dryer 4 Arm 60 Metre HLS115544
The Hills 115544 supadry is a heavy-duty 4 arm dryer that is ideal for a large family wash. It is equipped with 60 metres ofline, this will hold a large amount of washing with ease. The dryer has the unique Hills hoist mechanism to easily raise clothes into the breeze, just use the winder handle to raise and lower the dryer. The 52.5 mm diameter main support pole gives the dryer a good strong base that will hold lots of heavy wet washing. The Hills 115544 does includes a ground socket with a lockable collar this should be used in conjunction with concrete for maximum result, but can just be put straight into soil. The Hills 115544 dryer is made of a durable galvanised steel construction that will last for years.

Would have liked to know the dimensions in more detail. This device has a 6cm diameter shaft - I was hoping for 4cm to fit the socket from the previous Hills dryer it was replacing. It has huge capacity and is very tall - great for drying, but tough for 5'4" wife to hang washing at its lowest (locked) height and she can not reach to put a cover over it / remove a cover in the folded position. (Cover is not included, we used one from previous dryer.) Wind-up elevation action is quite cool :)

I have the ground spike cemented in and the pole when slotted into the spike and locked into position is very firm and steady.
I thought it may be a little too high for my wife who is 5 ft 2 ins but not a problem. With the main pole wound down she is able to use it without stretching.
Setting up the dryer for the first time took a little time, whilst I read and followed the instructions and got used to the mechanism. It only has to be set up once and then it is just getting used to the wind mechanism. Rasing the was a little stiff on first use but it has loosened a little to make using the dryer a doodle
When putting it up for the first time you may need to untangle the lines. This is easy as each tier is a separate line NOT a continuos one.
My wife and daughter state that it is a great family dryer and is very stable. They really like it. We have 6 adults and one 2 year old in our house. It spins very easily even with a full load.
It does need space to spin if it has a large sheet duvet etc.
For its size, ease of use and quality it is easily worth the extra one has to pay for this model. .
The only down sides are:
It can be a little tricky if taken out of its socket when put back due to its size whilst positioning the lugs into the recess in the ground spike. I have always been able to do it with out help but, I think that someone around the 5 ft mark may have difficulty balancing the pole whilst positioning the lugs especially on a windy day.
Hills no longer make a cover for this particular pole and all their other covers are not big enough.
I can certainly recommend this dryer.

Purchased this for my wife a month or so ago.It is a robust piece of equipment and she is delighted with its performance drying washing. Two minor negatives. The description gave us the impression that it could be wound down using the hoist mechanism. We thought this meant bringing the extended arms inwards. It does not do this. The hoist raises or lowers the entire "drying assembly"and dismantling appears to be quite a major exercise. The other issue relates to the plastic sleeve that houses the post and helps it rotate freely. This should lock in position but we found that you need to insert a screw through the sleeve and its housing to prevent it raising itself out of the socket when it rotates. Notwithstanding this is the best rotary drier we have owned in 30 years.

Hills rotary dryer
This is a fab Rotary dryer. You can fit loads of washing on it. I have a B&B so have lots of bedding to do daily, which isn't a problem with this Dryer. Great value for money.
