Rigid and sturdy. Mouth piece works well and so does the cap for filling it up. Seems like it will last a long time and doesn't leak, just make sure you do it up properly! Only problem is the chemically plasticly taste of water. Im sure this is easy to get rid of (washing) but i havent tried yet.

This bag is very easy to put together and carry in the rucksack, the only problem was where the pipe fits into the bag, will leak if you have not screwed it in correctly, all the way.

I bought this item as a stand-alone to pop in my day sack for walking in the Lakes.
On my first outing, I filled the pouch to its maximum, popped it in the pouch in my bag and filled my daysack with clothes and food.
Due to the bagf being full, it compressed the Hydration System and squeezed water out through the mouthpeice, constantly.
Luckily it was a warm dry day but my shirt was wet, my hands were wet until a suitable amount had been dispensed from the pack.
For me a lesson learnt, not to overfill the Hydration pack or my day sack and squash the pack.
Overall, it worked well, difficult to suck large quantities of water out at a time, but great for little sips whilst walking up.
Not sure if this is common with all types of Hydrations systems but obviously the valve is not water tight when squashed - probably my mistake as never used this system before.
Otherwise I am please with it and look forward to using it again, but being more careful.
