This test is greater than 99% accurate in laboratory testing.
How does a home ovulation test work?
When a woman is about to ovulate, her body releases a large amount of a hormone called L.H. (Luteinising Hormone). L.H. is always present in your urine but the levels increase (surge) in the middle of your cycle, causing you to release an egg from the ovary, this process is called ovulation. If the L.H. surge is present, ovulation is likely to occur in the next 24 to 48 hours.
These ovulation tests detect the L.H. surge by measuring the amount of L.H. in urine.

We had been trying for a baby for about 6 months and getting really disheartened. A friend suggested Ovulation sticks, being sooo expensive normally i looked on here. I really dont mind weeing into a cup and putting the little stick into the cup for 10 seconds and then leaving it for 10 mins, just to find out if i am ovulating or not (the benefits way out way the hassle). Most women ovulate around 13 to 15 days of their cycle and you only have about a 24 hour window to conceive. So knowing when you are ovulating is really going to improve your chances!
So, we started testing on day 10 as it suggests and i kept getting negative readings (only 1 red line instead of 2). I really doubted they were working because at the same time everyday (6pm for me, when i got home) i would test - Nothing!! Then on day 19 (yes 19!) i got 2 red lines - hence i was ovulating! Now here i am 3 months pregnant! Just knowing your cycle and knowing that not everyone fits into the norm really helps. So for the price and knowing when your perfect time is - buy them!

I have ordered this product twice and used them over 3 cycles. I struggled at first to interpret the results. It sounds gross, but I started keeping them and marking the date on them for comparison. I learned a lot by being able to compare the levels of LH on a day to day basis. This past cycle I worked out a system, I POAS (Pee On A Stick!) every other day from cycle day 8 until a saw a faint line--then I POAS everyday--when I also started noticing other fertility signs (mucus)-- I POAS twice a day. I found the best results about 2pm and 7pm. On the eve of CD 18 I had a super-duper obvious test line as dark as the control. It is now 16 days past ovulation and I just tested pregnant!

This product is good value for money and the test strips work! However, as I read in fertility books (very good is "Taking charge of your fertility" by Toni Weschler), the test strips can only predict the ovulation and they do not indicate whether the woman has definitely ovulated afterwards (it can happen that the egg never pops out of the ovary). If you know about the other signs of ovulation, this product can be very helpful.
