I'm a huge fan of the Highlander franchise, and an even bigger fan of Peter Wingfield (Methos) - but even his role in this movie wasn't enough to make me finish watching it - poorly scripted, full of contradictions and terrible terrible joke bits - including off-tune Queen tracks ... ugh

I so desperately wanted to see Methos in all his ancient wonderful-ness, but I just couldn't do it ... I'll just have to stick with re-watching selected elements of the series.

Sad to say, this is one of the worst movies I've ever spent my money on - and I own Shark Attack 3 "Megaladon".

This film is awful, you watched expecting answers, what you got was an ending obviously written by an idiot who had obviously never seen the other movies, this film is beyond terrible, it does not honor the original beginings and the ending will leave you feeling angry and ripped off.

I hope that they decide to disown this movie in the same same way that they did with Highlander 2, so that someone can produce a film with a fitting end for a story that originally started so well.

Incoherent gibberish, poorly acted, appalling script, weak action, shoddy effects, the least convincing screen villain of all time - this film is so bad it makes Highlander II look good!

Avoid at all costs, I want the 86 minutes of my life spent watching this dross back.

I bought this DVD because I have been a fan of the Highlander series for decades, and was convinced that the reviews must be wrong. Turns out that I was wrong. Very wrong.
The only good thing about watching this film is that I will never have to watch it again.
It manages to mangle the Highlander legend so far beyond recognition that it cannot even be described as a Highlander film anymore (if you thought Highlander II was bad, then think again - the only link with the film series is that Adrian Paul takes up the mantle of the Macleod name and then proceeds to burn it at the stake of iniquity.)
Very badly acted, with some dreadful dialogue, the quality of which is only surpassed by some of the special effects with the term "planetary alignment" taken far too literally, and containing a bizarre mixture of pseudo-science and theology which manages to confuse Christian teachings and prophecy with almost every left-field idea imaginable.
I really don't know why they made this film. So please, save your money and buy something else instead.
Alternatively, buy it and invite your friends round - this could be the ideal way to lose friends and waste money!

Imagine a world where there's only one Highlander movie. You know the film; made in the mid 80s by an Australian director, starring a French guy partnered with the that bloke who used to be James Bond. Now, try to keep that world in your head at all times . . . no matter, how many times you see the words 'Endgame', 'The Sorcerer', 'The Final Dimension' or whatever rubbish they call them in your video store - remember there is only one . . . because, if you do - you can skip mindless, empty tosh like this 'new' entry in the franchise that not only makes a mockery of the central idea, but puts (another!) final nail in the coffin of this terrible saga . . .

In this latest adventure of Duncan McCloud (a bored Adrian Paul, who deserves much better) we catch up with our hero as he begins a quest for 'the source' - an unexplained myth that may hold the key to the immortals origin and save a crumbling world. Aided by a group of fellow immortals, McCloud is hunted by 'The Guardian' (think the Kurgen, played by a dimwit) who is intent on protecting the source at whatever cost. Well, I think that was what it was about.

Because, after 80 minutes of awful green screen visual effects work, silly dialogue and terrible acting - I wanted to give up the will to live and asked my wife to cut my own head off, so I wouldn't force us both to sit through these pointless sequels time and time again. To be honest, I didn't think anything could get any worse than the dull pantomime effort that was 'Highlander: Endgame' but this one takes the series to an all new low. Director Brett Leonard (didn't he used to direct proper movies?

Sometimes the reviews of a film are SO bad that you just can't help yourself wanting to see it. Surely it can't be THAT bad.

Well, it is bad. Worse than you can possibly imagine bad. All the scathing reviews are true. Not only is this the worst of the Highlander sequels, it is up there with the worst films ever made.

Look at it this way, there's a character in the film called the Elder who, towards the end of the film, croaks the immortal line, "There...are...worse...things...than...death".

After watching this film you will know exactly what he means.

This is without doubt, categorically the worst film I have ever seen. For a film made in the last five years, it has special effects that would seem out of place in a 1960's B-movie.

The bad guy in this film is played by someone who used to be a cast member in Footballer's Wives. Enough said.
