This book is probably one of the best you could buy for the subject. It covers the whole course in great detail, and has end of chapter exam style questions at the end, as well as quick summary questions. The only annoying thing about it is that it has a lot of extra information, but still a brilliant resource none the less.

You will find this book an invaluable help in understanding this extensive topic. Very good explanations & diagrams. Although difficult the questions really help you tackle the subject matter & the answers are at the back of the book to help. When you know all the matter in this book you'll undoubtedly pass the higher exam.

Amazon Verified Purchase
Make sure you buy THIS version as it has answers to the study questions. Hard to believe that another version could exist that would pose the questions but NOT supply the solutions but academics are a strange lot it would appear. Anyhoo my son's school's Biology dept has lumbered them with the wrong version. If anyone can supply a set of answers I would be hugely grateful.
