This book was set up in a simple, easy to read format with great photos and sketches. It delves only into the surface and the life of Kat VonD (do not expect any revallations in here though) It is not much more than has been profiled on the Tv show(s) and her my space profile.
The stories of her clients, and the tattoos they have had done are fun to read about. Some of the quirky things that were also amusing and interesting were the bits on her top songs, what insprires her and who has influenced her.
A nice touch with the inclusions of some of the artists you have seen profiled on either Miami ink or La ink. Shawn Barber, the artist who painted Kat as well as Michael Hussar and his gothic paintings are two of my personal fave's.
High Voltage and it's "B" team are too briefly covered and really it would have been nice to see more on them as well as her relationships with Corey Millar, Hannah Aitchison, and Kim Saigh. I do think the addition of the Around the world artists was a nice touch for those looking for a reputable tattoo artist that may be closer and more available to do a stellar tattoo.
Overall. this is is an interestng book that would suit a fan of Kat Von D, a coffee table and or for those who want great photos of tattoos that Kat has, and has done.
