Product Description

Product Description

In this handy, but fun, episode-by-episode guide to the first two seasons of Roswell High, Keith Topping explores their world, encompassing interview extracts, cast and crew profiles and highlights of the show.

From the Publisher

Following on from his bestselling unofficial guides to Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, Keith Topping turns to the latest in the genre of teen paranormal drama, Roswell. Based on the premise that some aliens remained on Earth after the alleged spaceship crash of 1947, Roswell has been described as The X-Files meets Dawson's Creek. Keith captures the style of the programme and provides a fun read that is packed with facts and quotes - your ultimate guide to the show.

4.0 out of 5 stars the crackle without the pop, 19 Oct 2001
This review is from: High Times: An Unofficial and Unauthorised Guide to Roswell High (Mass Market Paperback)
I bought this book for one reason: Keith Topping. While I am a fan of Roswell, I am a much bigger fan of the highly original and acid tongued author. Yet again he delivers a well researched and highly critical summary of one of America's finest shows. But for the first time one of his books just isn't worthy of the full five stars. His analyse of Buffy and Angel was second to none, and was particularly thought provoking because of his obvious passion for the shows. On this occasion it is clear he doesn't rate Roswell as highly. It may be just me, but this book appears rushed. The thought and detail (while extremely high) do not meet his usual standards. I did enjoy reading this book, but I was left feeling a little bit cheated. Keith Topping: you are a genius; but next time can I see a little bit more of it????

4.0 out of 5 stars A must have for all Roswell Fans!, 9 Nov 2001
By "beryl11196" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: High Times: An Unofficial and Unauthorised Guide to Roswell High (Mass Market Paperback)
As a die-hard Roswell fan I was looking forward to this book for its synopsis of all episodes in Seasons One and Two. The book provided a wealth of information on the cast and show. I especially liked the section from each epsiode on where have we seen them before. Another thing that cracked me up was reading of all the little 'mistakes' they made filming certain scenes. It made me want to go back and watch all the episodes again to check it out. One reason for the 4 stars is that there were no pictures inside. I would have liked to have cast pics liek the "Buffy Watchers Guide" has. All Roswell fans will enjoy this

5.0 out of 5 stars We want more!!!, 9 Jun 2002
By Linsey - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: High Times: An Unofficial and Unauthorised Guide to Roswell High (Mass Market Paperback)
This is the ultimate guide for seasons one and two. I have seen all of the episodes, but felt compelled to watch them again as I read each of the episodes in the book. Using the book I was able to see things I hadn't noticed when I watched the episodes for the first time. Each episode is broken down into eleven sub-topics including an episode synopsis, quotes, mistakes, and the answers to those 'where have I seen him/her before' questions. It's all in there, every Roswell fan should have a copy. The only thing left to say, as an obvious fan myself, is will there be another book to include season three?!
