5.0 out of 5 stars High School Fun! 14 Nov 2008

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this game for some young HSM fans to play but decided to give it a try myself! There are 29 songs and different levels. (I was playing it for about an hour and a half and began to realise that my muscles were going to remind me about that tomorrow!)

I read somewhere about the controls being awkward. They're not - it's all about co-ordination and it does take a little while to get the hang of. There are a number of tutorials to teach you what to do and it's best to have a go at each one at least once (so you know what's coming in the game). I found that I never did very well in the tutorials - I started to get the hang of it when I played the game. Once you get going, it's really good fun (and quite easy to get a good grade in the Junior level).

I think that it's a good family game which teaches co-ordination and rhythm. HSM fans will love it!

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this game for my step daughter this christmas as we are both fans of the films. I had seen a preview of the game on-line and it did look a little complicated. However, after our initial frustration we soon realised that it was quite simple and if you played in time to the music you soon progress quickly. My step daughter is 8 years old and was coping very well with the junior level, I, however, have now advanced onto senior level after I worringly realised I had spent 5 hours on the game in two days. My husband is not happy! My only disappointment was that it is not the original cast members singing the songs, though you quickly get over that as you become more obsessed with the rountines. This one is really strictly for High School Musical fans though, otherwise it may drive you a bit crazy.

I only got to play it briefly, but I can safely say that this was the best present I could have got my 10year old sister. She loves it dancing away! Anyone who likes HSM and has a Wii - this is a must have

4.0 out of 5 stars keeps my daughter happy for hours 2 Feb 2009
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
This was bought for my daughter who's 7 for christmas. It was money well spent. It provides both fun and exersise and you don't have to purchase a dance mat. You also don't need to have loads of space either. All in all well worth buying.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not like Just Dance... 19 July 2011
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this game on the assumption that it would be similar to Just Dance where you copy the actual dance moves. However, it is not like that at all. It is basically the dance mat game but using your hands instead of your feet. I would definitely recommend this for use as a party game rather than solo because if you found it as easy as I did, even on the hardest level, you would complete the entire game in the space of a couple of hours. However, playing it with my friends made the game a lot more fun.
If you enjoy high school musical then this is a good game for you, as long as you don't expect to be learning any of the dances.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good game 6 Aug 2010
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this and as an adult I do find it tricky trying to get the response from the nunchuck or remote required to gain points as real effort seems needed and I can see why children particularly the younger ones would struggle.

I actually bought this not so much for HSM although the films are fine but as a form of alternative exercise as I have done with another game. It does actually work because if you are determined to get every last little point you will make the effort to move.

I would recommend this game but think that it should be more aimed at teen and adults and there should be some sort of easier version for the younger kids.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not easy to follow 16 May 2010

Fun: 2.0 out of 5 stars
We had been previously using 'Just Dance' and were expecting this to be similar. The moves are not on the screen just 'dots' which show you which direction your arms should go. My daughter gave up after two goes and hasn't been on it since.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but could be better. 2 April 2010
Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
I have two daughters, aged 6 and 10, and they nagged and nagged me to get them this game. On arrival of the game they played it for 2 hours straight and that was the last time they used it. They keep going back to another game called "Just Dance" which was much better value for money as it has longevity.
Had I not purchased the other game first I think my girls would have been happy with this game but, as it is, this game just isn't good enough when compared to other similar titles.
