Format:Audio CD
I must admit I received this CD before seeing the film and wasn't sure if I liked them. But I have literally just got back from seeing the film and they are instantly a hit. You can relate the songs to whats happening in the film and they are slightly more serious! The film follows a similar pattern and the songs tell the usual story e.g Now or Never is the basketball game and the team are struggling especially Troy. I Want It All is a Ryan and Sharpay duet. The Boys Are Back is especially good in the film as well as the song, great dancing and beaty number. Scream is the new Bet On It with Troy getting angry! High School Musical is the grand finale just like All For One. All in all the film is great and seems to definitely signify the end so whether rumours of a forth is true or not, this film didnt seem to show any signs of another, it seemed pretty final. The soundtrack will grow on you just like all the others. Definitely has to be added to the High School collection!

If it's the movie DVD you're after, don't rush into buying this item.
I goofed by not reading the product details carefully and assuming the DVD was the (as yet unreleased!) movie DVD.
This product is the audio soundtrack plus a related DVD with a film trailer, music vid and a 'making of' documentary. I realised this as soon as the item arrived with it's cover sub-title 'CD + MUSIC DVD SPECIAL EDITION'. I would have appreciated it if the Amazon.co.uk product title was similarly worded! Ah well, think I'd better go and pre-order the movie now. Doh!

Format:Audio CD
Be careful - this is not a set of the CD and DVD of the film, as I thought! It is a CD soundtrack, plus a DVD disc of the movie trailer, music video and behind the scenes clips. I only realised when the CD arrived and I went back online to check when the DVD was coming - it's not!

Not upto the hype
OK for pre-teens I guess, but didn't really do it for me, despite giving it several listens. By contrast, HSM1 was good with occasional brilliance.

HSM 3
This cd is great - in fact as good if not better than HSM 1 & 2. The kids have sang and danced non stop and we are all looking forward to the movie release.
