This book is one of the best trading books I have read so far. Other trading books focus more on the method part of trading, i.e. when to buy or sell. Trading is about the 3 M's: Money, method and mind. In this book, Steve teaches us some mental conditioning techniques and how to gain our confidence whatever level we are in our trading career. He teaches us how to cope with pressure and stress and also how to develop discipline. I have been trading for over 5 years and I believe the "Mind" part of trading is the most important of the 3 M's.
Steve has been my trading coach for the past year. We have set up goals and worked on visualisation techniques and he has helped me build confidence. After 4 years of trading I had to start from zero trying to make 200 to 300 pounds a day. This was the hardest bit; that I had to start making what seemed very little money considering I was making more than 10 times that the year before. Still I had the mental toughness to stick to my plan and now I am making considerable money and am more relaxed thanks to what Steve has taught me which he teaches in his book.
This book is a MUST for every trader.

Trading Must-Have 7 Dec 2009
By R. Dool
Format:Paperback
This book is clear and concise! It is the definitive guide for anyone who wants to take their trading seriously. There are many trading books out there and to be frank are too long winded. This book brings it all together and illustrates what it takes to be the best in trading. If you are going to stick to a guide I recommend this book 100%. A great read which is also enlightening. Just as it says in the title, these strategies are practical and can be implemented as soon as you read them and they really highlight the psychology of trading.

I include a re-read of what I call my Trading Bible - Mark Douglas's Trading in the Zone each year in my trading plan. But having now read Steve's book I am adding it to the list. There's stuff in here which is so simple but for that very reason it seems to be missed in most of the books you can get on trading. To be frank - trading is all about phsycholgy once you get to the heart of it. Its pretty simple right? you can only do 3 things, buy, sell or do nothing. It's how you hold onto the decision when you've made it that makes you a winner or a looser in the long run. Written with Zen like simplicity and essential messaging you will get to see the wood for the trees where some "gurus" leave you in the forest. get it, read it, use it. Bluepowder.

Performance psychologists have found that people are more successful when they stop focussing all of their energies on the outcome/results (which is interestingly one of the major causes behind performance anxiety), and learn to focus on just being excellent at the process of what they do. "e;
