This book is clear and concise! It is the definitive guide for anyone who wants to take their trading seriously. There are many trading books out there and to be frank are too long winded. This book brings it all together and illustrates what it takes to be the best in trading. If you are going to stick to a guide I recommend this book 100%. A great read which is also enlightening. Just as it says in the title, these strategies are practical and can be implemented as soon as you read them and they really highlight the psychology of trading.

I include a re-read of what I call my Trading Bible - Mark Douglas's Trading in the Zone each year in my trading plan. But having now read Steve's book I am adding it to the list. There's stuff in here which is so simple but for that very reason it seems to be missed in most of the books you can get on trading. To be frank - trading is all about phsycholgy once you get to the heart of it. Its pretty simple right? you can only do 3 things, buy, sell or do nothing. It's how you hold onto the decision when you've made it that makes you a winner or a looser in the long run. Written with Zen like simplicity and essential messaging you will get to see the wood for the trees where some "gurus" leave you in the forest. get it, read it, use it. Bluepowder.

If you are a committed trader then this book *will* improve your trading.

Steve distils the necessary components to up your trading game, no matter if you are expert or novice. You will find the steps required to move to a mindset of consistent focus and disciplined, constant execution. I found this book to be information dense and full of practical actionable knowledge.

This is a work book. Read it, and then read it again and again.

Internalise the principles. Action the ideas. Align yourself to move forward to trade with consistency, discipline and focus.

Good Trading.

Agree completely with other reviewers, the quality of this work is right up there with Mark Douglas. I have read many trading books over the last 8 years, and there is an awful lot of very average books out there with very little content and full of filler.

There are very few books I truly rate, this is one of them.

Absolutely essential reading for traders new and old. Very straightforward, reads like a 'how to' book of managing your emotions and mental state while trading, very often the missing puzzle piece for trader who are adept at Fundamental and Technical analysis.

I found it extremely helpful.

One of the better more practIcal books on trading psychology out there. This for me rates up there with the Mark Douglas book,'' Trading In the Zone.''

Mmm Steve Ward goes on an aweful lot about Goal Setting.
It's something I've yet to put into practice, but it does feature a lot throughout the book.
There are of course lots of other useful tips and strategies for how to deal with your emotions. Probably one of the simplest and most helpful, and I can't remember if I read it in this book, is to cut back on your position size if you are worried or nervous about your trades.
This one piece of advice has certainly helped me to be a lot more relaxed about fast moving FX markets.
