4 of 4 people found the following review helpful By A. Murdoch on 22 July 2008
Format: Audio CD
I first got into Max Webster when they supported Rush back in about 1979 and bought up all their back catalogue. Almost 30 years on, they remain one of my favourite bands. Their lead singer/guitarist Kim Mitchell has also gone on to produce a wealth of great solo material over the years.
Anyway, HCIBS is their second album and chock-full of the great musicianship and quirky, proggy but accessible rock that existed quite happily in the 70s but such an individualistic approach wouldn't be allowed these days. HCIBS contains some of their more well-known (amongst us cognoscenti) songs such as the title track, 'Gravity' and the gorgeous 'Diamonds,Diamonds' as well as some less well-known gems like 'Oh War' and 'In Context Of The Moon'.
My wife calls me a 70s rock-loving mofo and no wonder with stuff of this quality around. Great cover too!
