First off, once again I need to point out that this is not a new 2014 movie release, it's a re-packaged 1997 comedy horror film.

**The following review is for the movie only**

I really don't know where to start on this one. This film is ultra low budget and it shows. Everything from the shoddy camera work, to the woeful special effects, to the first school play acting values, right down to the pathetic script and overbearingly bad music. This film is awful.

It's pretty much a bunch of really unlikable people who collect deformed specimens in jars, some of these are acquired illegally and so they have the FBI trailing them. Pretty soon some of the said specimens come to life and begin attacking everyone and the FBI and collectors must band together to stay alive, REALLY???

This is simply another really bad rip off of Ghoulies and Puppet Master, amazingly made by the same bloke. The hand puppet rubber monsters covered in petroleum jelly are ridiculous. They have set expressions on their faces that never change with eyeballs that move left and right only, pretty much what you could buy for a few quid at the local joke shop, that is the level of expertise you can expect from this film. There's a fight sequence where 2 guys fight each other with swords and they're both clashing swords almost in slow motion and without any force, it looks so fake it's untrue.

The film stars Mel Johnson Jr (Benny the annoying cab driver from Total Recall - Hey man, I got 5 kids to feed) and ex porn star Jacqueline Lovell (who just drops her clothes without any reason through most of the film), so you will no doubt have an idea of how bad the acting is.

i really enjoyed this movie the concept was great. The acting is decent and creatures look really slimey. There are many great bits like when the two rival collectors attack each other over who has a greater collection of human oditys. If you enjoy charles band movies especially his earlier films such as troll and ghoulies then i would recommend this to you.

I bought this because Jacqueline Lovell is in it, and I had seen Head of the Family, which is great. She is a decent actress, and a babe, and I do not understand why she accepts roles like this one. With her looks and ability she should have been in much better movies. This is yet another addition to my truly rubbish movies collection. How do these things get made, and why?

It goes way OTT with the plot, the creatures, the acting, the set. You will either enjoy the high jinx or not. I found myself chuckling throughout this film. Don't have any expectations with this film, just take it as it comes!

Mix two barmy rich collectors of "biological specimens", the greedy dealer and her very dozy secretary, the detective trying to include a spot of common sense in this mayhem, and the film starts with 3 salvage boatmen trying to make a buck or two from "biological detritus" which emanates from the sewers. This all goes into the mixing pot to make a soggy souffle of a film.

Of course I'll be spoiling nothing by saying the specimens come to life, they've got to! Otherwise there would be no plot. They are deserving of pity, due to being the victims of this crazy gang. But they are very ugly.

There is no scary stuff, but lots of perverted fun!
