5.0 out of 5 stars a little fairy tale 22 Jan 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It's hot here in Cape Town in midsummer. I felt like a little non taxing read and this suited me just right. I have slackened off a little on my household routines while setting up a small hobby business and this is motivational. I had just finished a heavy political story and a sociology book, this is a pleasant rest from serious things. I read it in a day and it is a feel good book about finding your life's purpose when you follow flylady s system, something I have done now for seven years and found it works extremely well for getting life in order simply and fast in a balanced way.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great feel good book 27 Dec 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book illustrates how the Flylady system can help everyone no matter how hopeless you. It's a feel good novel, with no loose ends. A great book for people feeling over whelmed by organising their home. There is peace to be found on the flylady journey but it does take time in baby steps.

The book is a great advertising tool for the flylady website. The fantastic thing about the flylady website is its free and easy to navigate.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It is inspiring and I read it in a few days but love the fact that I have it on my kindle
and can read it without having the clutter of another book.

I was a tad skeptical about buying this: £6 seemed a lot for a download by an unknown author, and I suspected a bit of 'cashing-in' of the popularity of FlyLady. I saw it advertised on FlyLady's Facebook page and dismissed it initially but decided to have a look at the reviews. I have known about the Fly business for a while but as a non-American it's all a bit too OTT for me and while I like a lot of the ideas, I have never really got into it. But I needed a kickstart to the new year as I need to have a bit of a clear-out and figured I'd read it for motivation.

It was all I expected: simply written, and very 'touchy-feeley' in that American way. And a blatant advert for FlyLady. It's not hidden or subtle - it's there and no mistaking that they want you to visit the website. At times I felt that it detracted from the story a bit, but then the story basically is all about the FlyLady system. Thankfully the book wasn't trying to flog cleaning products incessantly like the emails, otherwise I'd have had to drop another star or two!

All in, it's not the best book in the world but it's something a lot of us can relate to, even though the stereotypical characters were slightly unrealistic at times. I'm not sure how much motivation it has given me, but it certainly hasn't done any harm. If you love the emails and testimonials then you'll love this. I should have trusted my instinct rather the the other reviews and saved my money but it wasn't the worst purchase in the world... At least it wasn't be paper copy that would become more clutter!

Easily read and uplifting in that it doesn't judge. But must stop reading now and just jump in where I am.

I had half a shelf full of books on how to cut time and be efficient at housework before I found FlyLady. One promised a spotless house in 15 minutes a day. It started with washing your ceilings and got worse from there.
This book, to the right person, would be life transforming in a way that others can't. It is also reasonably entertaining. The FlyLady method includes so much more than mere housework, yet this small book can explain the whole ethic involved. Try it. It works.

5.0 out of 5 stars small steps make big changes 21 Mar 2014
By heather
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book is inspiring, the path it leads you to is not about self help but self belief, who could believe that 15 mins a day can change how we look at ourselves. Who knows what goes on in four walls. You are not behind, just jump in where you are. Flylady is amazing and realistic in her encouragement to
Finally Love Yourself.
