4.0 out of 5 stars Great little guide of Wales, and food for thought!, 14 May 2011

I bought this book because frankly I love going to Wales, even though at this present time going to Wales for me usually involves staying in a little B & B for three nights or so. So I bought this book, which covers the whole of Wales, so I could find out more places that I could visit. It does have a lot of stuff even in the first 30 pages or so, but obviously no small book could cover in real detail a whole country's hidden places in a country the size of Wales. Having read it before I took off again, I have found out things and places I never would have known, and hope to start going to some of these off-the-beaten-track places on my return to Wales.

Another reason I bought this book is because I wanted to find out more about the more lonelier parts of Wales, or certainly parts of Wales I have never personally travelled to, like South West Wales, Pembrokeshire, amongst other places I'd like to see. And I want to travel with a mate of my mine to some of these places that even dedicated tourists might not get to.

All in all, this book is good food for thought and I think an indispensable travel guide if you want to find some lesser visited parts of Wales. Nicely enough, the guide also covers places to eat and drink, which to me is also very important when you travel; who doesn't like to sample the local brews or sample the local delicacies when on holiday?! I certainly do anyway!

Anyway, for the price, this is an excellent book and will give you far more places than you might be practicably able to visit. But when travelling, I think its always better to have more options than less; don't you think?

Great little book. I would have liked more places in and around Cardiff but very useful for those who travel around Wales and for visitors
