From the Publisher

The Lake District is renowned for its impressive mountain
scenery but is also offers visitors green rolling hills, fast flowing
rivers, deep lush forests and of course the enchanting and lanquid lakes.
The delightful county of Cumbria, in which the Lake District resides, is
England's second largest county, but surprisingly has a relatively small
population of only 490,000 people which is only slightly more numerous than
the city of Leeds. Apart from the Lake District, visitors to Cumbria will
also find gentle moorland, craggy coastal headlands and scattered woodlands
as well as a fascinating history and cultural heritage. --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.
