as a religious studies student with particular interest in early Christian history and art; I find this book quite informative and invigorating.
This book is a general introduction to early Christianity in Asia depicting a concise account of historical narratives of the period. It is very enlightening to note that there was sometimes another source of Christian teaching and influence from East of Antioch and Rome towards Asia (much of which is forgotten or not considered to be significant) deriving from the non-colonial mode.
This literary resurgence is a rejuvenative contribution to the ecclesiastical history from Asia and the author has also provided a comprehensive references from his bibliography which include scholarly and historical writers like Samuel Moffett, Aziz Atiya, Kenneth Cragg, Hans-J Klimkeit, Kenneth Latourette, R.S. Sugirtharajah et. al
