4.0 out of 5 stars good boots 28 Oct 2009
Verified Purchase
Very comfortable, not a tight fit, just enough room for your feet to breath. Very sturdy without being restrictive.

Wore them once for 30 mins, next time a good 2 hour walk and they were perfect !

I dont wish to undermine the previous reviewer, but I would disagree that they are light, I have HiTec Sierra V Lites......which are very light (Doh !). These are medium build and weight I would say.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good hiking/walking boot. 9 Oct 2009
A good light pair of hiking/walking boots. A good thick sock does help and they are easy to break in.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not waterproof!!! 10 July 2010
A comfortable boot but I've just walked for an hour through wet grass and my feet are soaking wet! So much for "waterproof"

Bought the Pathfinder WP's in August '10 from an independent in Somerset whilst on holiday. For the time I used them, until Jan '11, they were fantastic. Medium weight and with a very solid feel. The most comfortable boots I have owned with no breaking-in necessary. Used them in hot weather with thick socks and my feet were always fresh. Also perfectly waterproof in both deep water and snow. Also, very well padded inside and thus warm in winter. However, on one of the boots the seam between three panels, located at exactly the point where the big toe, and thus the boot, bends, started to seperate. Since I only used them for light leisure use (e.g. dog-walking, short hikes) and the rest of the boot shows little sign of wear, they have gone back to Hi-Tec for replacement as not fit for purpose. That's a shame, since in all ways but the stitching / panel layout, they were ideal.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good boots for it's price 19 Nov 2010
By najaf
Just tried them in 4 days trekking in autumn forest(wet terrain, rocks, fallen leafs, river, high humidity) and found amazing for their price/quality ratio. Paid 31 pounds for pair.

Pros. They are really good - comfortable, light enough and waterproof against occasional steps into water while crossing the river.
Cons. Sole is not very trusty on wet terrain comparing to vibram sole of my mountaineering boots from La Sportiva
Water runs inside the boot from lace part of the boot. Not a lot, but fact.

And i have to test their durability against wear.

So 4 from 5

Re earlier reviewer - I just walked 5 minutes through wet grass and the water came straight through the uppers - waterproof indeed. Have contacted the manufacturer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Are they good ? 10 Feb 2010
Colour Name:Brown| Size Name:10 UK|Verified Purchase
Have been looking for a pair of good walking boots, but did not want to pay silly money, wanted then to keep my feet safe and dry, wanted to be able to walk for 2hrs or 10hrs without my feet feeling worn out and tired.
This walking boot I highly recommend I was lucky to purchase a pair on discount price, but when it is time for me to renew my boots I may just have to pay the asking price. A good boot which does not leak, sweat or make one feel uncomfortable. I would reommend these to anyone who likes to protect their feet whilst enjoying short or long distance walks.
