These boots arrived yesterday on schedule. Today I wore them out in the rain and mud (I live on a farm), after which I gave them a good hosing down to clean off the yuk. Took 'em off - dry socks, dry feet. Good kit. My previous pair of Hi-Tec boots lasted me for 10 or 12 years (can't rember, I bought them so long ago). The soles look almost new (but I do spend most my time walking in mud and slurry), the uppers look old but have not cracked and the seams (stitched or glued) remain intact. I retired them bacause they are wearing out from the INSIDE.

This is a very good shoe. It is strong and lends alot of support to the anckles.It is also waterproof.I tested it out in the recent snow and it kept my feet dry.I would recommend this to anyone.

I liked my first pair so much for the price I bought another pair when they wore out.
Having said that I only use them as everyday trainers & light walking so I don't know if they are any good for proper hiking.
