This boot offers just that, the upper features a waterproof membrane, and around heel area, it's covered around by padded collar foam for extra comfort. And the outsole of midfoot features a steel shank which provide excellent support and stability.

Have been using this pair for weekend hiking trips and I am quite satisfied with them. I was not sure about buying footwear online, but the boots fit quite well. Looks wise, they are good looking and not very flashy. The polished leather looks fine but the downside is that it gets scratched easily.The brass fittings are good quality and well designed with the 2 optional loops.
I have worn them for over 5 weekends and they have performed quite well. I cant comment about their longevity but from what I read online before buying them, they should last a while.
I would recommend this product as it is not very expensive and meets basic hiking requirements. At the same time, it can also be worn for casual outings.

I'm very peased with these. I've worn them non-stop since they arrived a week ago during the UK's worst winter for 30 years, and I'm doing 6 miles a day in them on country walks with a young Labrador. They grip superbly in snow and ice, they're fully waterproof, and they're warm. Strangely they don't grip well on wet floor tiles, but I won't hold that against them because they do so well in their intended environment of "outdoors". When lacing up I've found the tongue can need a little guiding into the best position, but I have no complaints with these and they're good value at the under £50 I bought them for.

Looking for some boots to walk the dog and holiday in the Lakes which were waterproof and comfortable.In the past I have bought boots which have caused blisters or rubbed against my ankles but from the first day I have had no problems
with these from purchase about 4 weeks ago and still in good condition.Will have to see how they get on over the winter in the ice and snow but so far so good.Would recommend them to any of my friends.

Comfy boot but issues
I have had these boots just 3 months and considering I do not walk gazillions of miles (nor are we talking hard treks as I live in Cambridgeshire!) they really are pretty poor. Read more

not that great
i bought these in nov 2011 so only had them 5 months and the first big rain storm we had i'm afraid they let in water. had to change my socks when i got home as they were soaked. Read more
