There is a durable shell construction, a siped MDT carbon rubber outsole for brilliant traction in winter conditions and even the metal hardware on the outside of the boot is rust resistant.Comfort-Tec sockliner wicks moisture away from the foot as well as providing excellent, additional cushioning.Features Thermo-Dri which is a winter boot technology that integrates Thinsulate insulation and seam sealed waterproofing with a cushioned EVA midsole, active flex points and a four layer polymer material in the heel and toe. All this results in an insulated, waterproof that still manages to be flexible and lightweight.The Thinsulate insulation, made up micro-fibres that are ten times smaller than other synthetic insulations, traps insulating air and reflects them back onto the body and its own radiant heat.

After the last couple of winters I figured a good pair of boots were in order. I bought these after much browsing. They were easy to put on and comfortable for walking + warm & waterproof, unfortunately, the weather this year (so far) is such that they haven't had much use & so I can't give much of a review + I hesitate to wish for bad weather just to test my new boots.
After 2 months of fairly mild use, and a month of blisters a hole opened up on these boots. After contacting hi tec they basically told me this was due to normal wear and tear. So in other words they are telling me that 2 months is all you can expect these boots to last before they start falling apart. I find this totally unacceptable yet they didn't even seem to care. They refused to give me a full refund or compensation for the time i wasted trying to get them to do the right thing. All they could offer me was the same pair of boots which ofcourse i do not want if i have to go through a month of blisters and then for another hole to open up after 2 months! I would have given these boots 0 stars if i could as that is what they deserve. Please no one waste your time or money on these boots or any Hi-tec products if you can help it. They are a terrible company who do not care about customer service or satisfaction. All they want is your money and they are not interested in knowing about a problem with your product. They will blame you for using the product for what it is meant for, then when it fails to perform they will only offer you the same cheap, poorly made useless piece of footwear again. I feel like i have been robbed of £50. It is disgusting that such a large company can behave like this and get away with it!
