Well these are the first pair of Hi-Tec's I have owned and at the moment I am very impressed with them. I read a lot of review s regards walking boots, as I am doing the 3 peaks in June and wanted to own a pair that would do the job with no problems.
I have had these boots for a week or so now and have completed around 50 miles or so in them. Straight out of the box they are comfortable. The extra heal support is very good and the tread gives fantastic grip.
Good points:
VERY comfortable
Steady as a rock on slippy surfaces
Good laces that never slacken up
Waterproof
Not so good points:
Could do with a little eyelet for your gators at the bottom of the laces (personnel preference maybe)
After 4 hours of walking in the snow yesterday the water crept in. Can not really moan about this to much but thought it was worth a mention!
My verdict is 4.5 out of 5. Great boot!!!

Great sturdy boot,I purchased these as I am new to walking and I think I made an excellent choice, they are a reasonable price and do everything they say on the box, waterproof, comfortable, breathable, I have not had any problems with them at all.

I love these boots. They were a last minute buy in advance of an Africa trip and really if truth be known I didn't have the highest hopes for them given the very nice price. I got them, went for a test walkabout and really liked them immediately. Great fit, super comfort, light, easy to put on and take off, just what I wanted. I used them several times during the trip and they never let me down. A+

Bought these so that i can walk my dogs on the hills and they don't let you down very comfortable and they give your ankles good support.

Two years of use and going strong.
Hiked around the lakes and Wales for the last two years wearing these boots, good grip on wet surfaces and withstood quite a few scuffs and scratches. Read more
