Hi-De-Hi 3 Oct 2006
The classic comedy continues on to the third and fourth series'. And what an amzing set it is all the episodes are superb. Excellent acting from all the stars including Paul Shane, Jeffrey Holland, Su Pollard and the late Simon Cadell. Outstanding writing from Jimmy Perry and David Croft, (creators of Dads Army).

Definately worth the buy

There seems to be a strong debate as to whether this DVD set includes series 3 and 4, or only series 3. While it's true that one or two fan sites I've seen in the net list the episodes in this box-set as series 3 only, many others, including the official Su Pollard site, list them as Series 3 and 4 - and I suppose Su Pollard should know! The confusion is mainly because both series were shown in 1982, whereas the other series were all shown in seperate years.

Also, all the other series consisted of only 6 or 7 episodes, so it makes no sense that Series 3 would contain 13 episodes. If Series 3 and 4 were shown back to back, that would make six episodes for one series and seven for the other, so it would be logical to suppose that these are indeed Series 3 and 4.

In any case, it contains a similar number of episodes to the previous Series 1/2 DVD so it is really the same value.

This DVD needs no introduction - if you love Hi-de-Hi you'll love these 13 episodes. The DVD has no special features except subtitles - and they are a pain because when you first load the DVD, the menu shows "subtitles off" as the default, but when you watch an episode the subtitles are on anyway! So you have remember to manually set the subtitles to "on" and then "off" again to get rid of them! I don't know if this has been corrected now as my DVD set was one of the very first.

Classic Comedy. 10 April 2006
This is a comedy that is actually laugh out loud funny. Inoffensive and lighthearted, it's one of the great comedy sitcoms of all time.

Small price to pay for hours of classic comedy
Hi-De-Hi is one of the funniest and underated sitcoms the BBC has produced. This 3 disc set (as with the series 1&2) represents excellent value for money at this price. Read more
