the best guide book I have ever used,

This is the best guide book for a city I have ever used. The descriptions are very informative and very honest. We used this all weekend for our recent trip to Madrid and had a fab time as a result of this book. You can simply browse through the summaries of restaurants, bars, hotels e.t.c and choose something that suits your tastes/needs/price range. Not one of the places we went to as a result of the information let us down.

Wow what a great travel guide! Concise with just the relevant information required to spend 3 great full days and nights in Madrid. I loved the reference to quirky pieces of furniture or paintings in the boutique hotels - gives it that personal touch. The restaurants and bars described were ideal for sampling a bit of up market Spanish nightlife - away from the tourist madding crowds. We liked the lack of force fed historical content - for a long weekend we only had a chance to sample the Madrid lifestyle and this was the perfect antidote.
