Although I love the voice of Alison O'Donnel, so recognisable here in this solo album, I have reservations about the production of this album. Although not true of all tracks, the backing music has been badly mixed IMHO. The annoying thump thump thump of percussion is present in most tracks - an excess of bass sounds, polluting the lovely voice.

If you enjoy her recent work with the Owl Service View from a HillThe Fabric of Folk E.P. & Head South By Weaving or the classic Swaddling Songs ~ Remastered and repackaged by her 70s group Mellow Candle, this is a must-have. Beautiful voice, wonderful production and catchy tunes make for wonderful listening experience.
