What's to say. If you have ever enjoyed any type of underground comic (Crumb, "MAD", or even Art Spiegelman), you will love this comic. Go ahead and buy them all because you will end up wanting them all.

Biting, wicked self-satire 16 Jan. 2013
By Peter Buxton - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Peter Bagge's first collection of Buddy Bradley stories is truly laugh out loud funny. Many other cartoon characters have personated the American "I" during various decades and various age groups. Buddy Bradley is as large as any of them. A little more vulgar and more blue, perhaps, but no more or less than his country. I'm on Amazon hunting for volumes II and III!

Meh. 24 Aug. 2010
By Robert Beveridge - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
Peter Bagge, Hey, Buddy! (Fantagraphics Books, 1993)

The first collection of Buddy strips from underground zine Hate, Hey, Buddy! is probably not what you're expecting if you're new to Peter Bagge and unfamiliar with Hate (which is far less about, well, hate than one would expect). Buddy sits around, annoys his roommates (who annoy him in return), has a relationship that's failing more than it's succeeding, etc. Mildly amusing, but most likely a "you had to be there" phenomenon ultimately (Wikipedia notes that the Hate was popular in grunge culture for being a satire of it). Feels a great deal like memoir, so if you're fond of those, it's worth a whirl. ***

Buddy Bradley is rad-o-matic! 17 Jun. 1999

Everything that Mr. Bagge draws is full of amazing comic effect. He is very funny, I love all the characters, and I reckon he is just a comic genius, right up there with all the greats. Buy this if you are cool!
