While "Minerva" may be the better bargain of the two as far as unreleased material goes, "Hexagram" definitely has the better of the unreleased songs. "Lovers" was a b-side left off the 2003 self-titled, and is a hauting, atmospheric piece, that has some incredibly good lyrics. I don't really understand why this one was left off the album. It's so good, and in key with the rest of the songs on the record. Oh well guess everything can't make it. "Hexagram" and "Bloody Cape" both make appearances on here, although they were already on the self-titled. The cd is also enhanced, and contains the video for "Hexagram" which is cool to check out if you haven't seen it. If you're a Deftones completist then you'll probably want to get this to have, but if you're a casual fan you may just be satisfied with downloading "Lovers". I'm glad that the imports are now being released with b-sides, though. That makes the purchase even more worth it. Now if only "Teething" would have been on an import. Guess we can't have everything.
