I chose another HP photosmart printer on the strength of the faultless performance delivered by my existing (3 year old) Photosmart 3300 'all in one' device which is also 'wireless'.
It is not a replacement for my 3300 as that device continues to work perfectly.
Set up was ridiculously simple. It' found' the wireless router (BT Homehub) instantly and within two minutes of completing the set up I was printing wireless !
We use a mixture of 4 different computers (desktop/laptop/AppleMac/MS Windows) all without connectivity problems.
Without wires you can put the printer anywhere you want , all you need is a 13 amp mains socket. Excellent easy to use on board editing software means you can : take a snapshot on your 'phone....using bluetooth send the picture to the printer.... remove' redeye' if needed and produce a lab quality print within a couple of minutes of taking the photo and without even using your computer !
Also you can transfer video onto the printer....I used the SD cardslot.....stop the movie on the frame you want .....and print a still of that frame (quality is lower as video is shot at a lower resolution) but great fun !
Or you can send via bluetooth some photos to the printer...review , edit and discard the bad ones and then send wirelessly via the router those photos to your computer.
If you are worried about HP ink prices use low cost non HP copies available online from several sources. I've been doing so for 3 years with no problems whatsoever.
And it cost me £110 delivered next day from one of Amazons recommended suppliers. Simply amazing !!

Do not buy this printer unless you want to be bombarded with demands to replace its (very expensive) ink cartridges on a frequent basis. The best bit is that it won't even let you print in black if one of the colour cartridges is running low. A complete rip-off however cheap it is - avoid like the plague.

This printer has everything I ever wanted in a printer. It is easy to operate, works extremely fast, prints wonderful photographs (I should add that I used to be a freelance photographer, so I am fussy) and even works by wireless so I can print on it from three different computers. This is Hewlett Packard at its best.

Avoid like the plague

Not a good photo printer
My first D7460 stopped working after just 2 days. It just would not power up. I checked the power adaptor on another machine and it worked fine. The printer clearly had a fault. Read more
