Instead she moved to London and started her own business. And it rankled her that her father thought of it as nothing more than a hobby. Now her father's 60th birthday is coming up and she wants to really impress him at the party. Besides, she's a little tired of being called the "Ice Maiden" behind her back.
So she goes to a slave auction, one of those galas where you bid on a bachelor for a night, the money going to charity. She knows just what she wants. Lucas Mallory, one time grand prix champion, now successful businessman and reputed lady's man extraordinaire. She wins the bidding but is a little put off by the way Lucas seems to see right through her. Try as she might not to, Georgia finds herself falling for Lucas, but she hides it from him, from herself too, at least she tries, because she is afraid he'll reject her. But will he?
Ms. Kate Walker has written a romance that had me reading my Sunday away. She had me drooling over Lucas. I almost felt as he were going to stride right off the pages and into my bedroom. This is a terrific book, super story, thrilling read. I just know you'll love it like I did.
