Having personal and professional exerience of 'heroin' I found this book a refreshing read and Tam Stewart takes the reader into the reality of the world a heroin user occupies. The book explores the wider issues and offers suggestions for action whilst challenging the misconceptions and assumtions made by so many 'workers' in the field. One of the most accessible books I have come across and I have read many - this book has been welcomed by many individuals I have worked with as an honest portrayal.

I loved this book. Seeing as i'm actually in recovery from heroin addiction i could relate to it all and it was all so correct. It doesn't matter who you are or where you come from, heroin addiction can happen to anyone. I like the way this book uses real charactors and thier experiences. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes true life books.
