Product Description

Product Description

The author, a recovered drug addict, paints a devastating portrait of her rapid descent down the staircase of self-destruction, driven by the diabolical devil himself: heroin. Her descent into the abyss of addiction is marked by extreme loneliness and severe desperation...prompting her to resort to actions she never dreamed she would undertake. Only within the pages of this book will you discover the depths one will resort to when the devil has you by the throat and how to, finally and miraculously, walk away from the edge of doom.

I’ve had a rough life. I can’t imagine my story is something many people will be able to relate to, so I think this book will be read sort of like a movie to most. Heroin addiction, prostitution, pain and a lot of suffering. For the few who also want to learn how I recovered from an addiction that almost took my life, this book will show you the way. It will teach you how to find strenght even when you feel like all hope is lost.

This is my story.

Good, but too short. A bit of time spent into making it a full length book would have made it an excellent read.

1.0 out of 5 stars Generic tale, does not feel real 17 July 2014

This could very well be taken from a Lifetime movie or a magazine. There are no specific facts or real feelings, anyone could put together a story like this. Probably an exercise by a would-be writer. Definitely look elsewhere if you want a story with any believable content.

Nothing original or different and not a detail to be found. Finished in half an hour. Would have liked more of a storyline.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! What a Life! 4 Jun 2014

After reading this book I have to take some time and think about some of the people I have known in my lifetime. When I was younger I never really knew anyone who had problems with drugs and especially not heroin. Anymore you hear on the news all the time of just how bad the heroin problem here in the United States is, but sometimes unless something like this incredible book comes along, you never really understand how it really affects people firsthand. This woman went through so many horrific things in her life and I was amazed at how she was finally able to begin pulling herself up in life and away from the negative things that had kept her down for so many years. Her story is definitely one of survival and then victorious winning at life by beginning fresh and taking the path that so many unfortunately never get to take. This book was very touching and emotional at times, and in the end I found myself really rooting for her to change and to begin a whole new life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sad but couldnt put it down 7 Jun 2014

This book was heartbreaking but I couldn't put it down once I picked it up. Brianna Murphy is a brave woman for telling her story. I felt for her in every aspect of life as I read My Heroin Story, A True Story Of Addiction and Prostitution. It only takes one person to do something to break you or change the person you once were

Brianna was an over all happy child. She loses her father at a young age but manages to still be happy throughout her childhood until her mother marries Steve. He constantly makes remarks and does things that makes Brianna feel uncomfortable. When Brianna tells her mother what has been happening, she takes Steve side and Brianna takes off. She ends up in California where all the trouble happens. For years, she was shacked up in a house where she was drugged and prostituted to many men. The one day it all ends or does it?

This was an incredible story and highly recommend anyone to read it

5.0 out of 5 stars What Addiction can do to You! 5 Jun 2014
By Charkeya - Published on Amazon.com
I’ve been that road before, not with drugs or alcohol but there are so many areas of life that can destroy us. Brianna was brave in the wake of telling her story. She has been through so much so early in life. The tragedy she suffered and recovered from was a prime example of ‘this could happen to anyone’. She was lucky to have been found when she was, for things could have ended much worse.

This story can be an inspiration to all our young people to know that things at home are not always as bad as they seem and if they seek help, they can find and get it. For the older adults who have been at this point or may be headed that way, there is a lesson in this story to show that with a little help and some will power you can get out of whatever hole you’re in. And no matter how deep you have climbed in your hole there is help to get out if you desire.
