HASH(0x97da6684) out of 5 stars Heroes For Hire Vol 3 Continuity 13 Oct. 2009

The whole of this book takes place during World War Hulk from the time the city is being evacuated till right before the arena games at Madison Square Garden begin. It deals mainly with the brood queen and other insects that arrived with Hulk. There is a lot of reference in WWH Damage Control about the events that happen in this book. This book is not critical to the cross-over but is a good addition and worth getting. (Events in this book will make more sense if you pick up Heroes for Hire Vol 2 first)

HASH(0x9804d2c4) out of 5 stars Entertaining, but ultimately shallow tie-in to World War Hulk 2 Jun. 2008
By N. Durham - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
When two of the first three storyarcs for a new ongoing series are part of major crossovers, you have two possibilities: said series needs help in the sales, and/or, the series itself just isn't that good to begin with, and well, needs help with the sales. Heroes For Hire started off with Civil War, and now they're caught in the middle of World War Hulk, which fares a little better, but ends up being ultimately shallow. With the Hulk seeking revenge and turning New York City into a warzone, the Heroes For Hire are basically caught behind enemy lines. Things get worse for Misty Knight, Shang-Chi, and the rest of the crew however when Humbug discovers the plans of some of Hulk's Warbound companions, and before you know it the team is headed for disaster. Writer Zeb Wells fares much better with the book than Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray ever could, and his characterizations and dialogue are pretty good. However, the story as a whole just isn't all that entertaining. In terms of World War Hulk tie-in's, Heroes For Hire offers some important developments in the overall story, but the road there just isn't anything special. The artwork of Clay Mann is too cartoony for my tastes, but serves its purpose. All in all, Heroes For Hire: World War Hulk isn't bad, but it isn't anything substancial to the overall World War Hulk event either.

HASH(0x9804d87c) out of 5 stars The Good Heroes 3 July 2010
By DJ Psolyx - Published on Amazon.com

This side story tied to the World War Hulk story line is pretty cool but it sucks because the Hulk is not in it at all. The Heroes for Hire fight against Hulk's war bound team instead, then again none of the Hero for Hire stand a chance against the Hulk. The art work is great with it looking more anime like towards the end of the book. I enjoyed it hopefully you will to.
