Expensive postage so buy more than one set. Decent quality, grown up looking but easier to handle than full size cutlery. Avoids favourite colour/character arguments. Would recommend this to others.

This is a lovely set of cutlery for the toddler who is ready to move on from baby cutlery. It's a good weight without being too heavy, well balanced for use and generally good quality. The appearance is just like our regular cutlery, great for the toddler who wishes to be just like the adults. The serrated knife, while not being dangerous for the occasional popping in the mouth when the child forgets not to, is good for practising cutting skills, where baby cutlery knives are only good for pushing onto the fork.

I placed the above review over a year ago. I'm now editing to add that the cutlery is lasting really well, no deterioration from lots of dishwashing. I recommend this to a lot of my friends with similar age children. I think I shall buy some more for when my younger child is also up to using "big children's" cutlery, so that we don't run out on busy days. My brother came to visit and thought that the cutlery was for adults to use - as butter knives, cake forks and pudding spoons! He was very impressed that it was for children, plus we'll keep using them for just those tasks as well as for in (adult) lunchboxes when the children outgrow them.

These are superb quality and perfectly sized for my four year old daughter. The unique thing about them is the serrated edge knife - any others I found were blunt edged. With these, she can actually start to cut up her food easily. And I think the postage costs are acceptable : they are steel and quite heavy!

These great value cutlery sets are perfect for encourageing little ones who want to be a grown up to eat .They are sharp enough to cut unlike the 0-3 sets ,but are safe for little ones to use .The cutlery sets are very well made and have no rough edges .My 4 year old loves them and feels grown up using a set like mummys and daddys ! Having two sets is great so we can have a spare at nanas !

I'd looked everywhere for a proper set of cutlery for my 2 1/2 year old and finally found it. These sets are well made and the knife is sharp enough to cut things properly (but not too sharp that it's dangerous to a toddler). My daughter loves it and everything is just the right size. Well worth investing in a few sets.

After searching all shops in town and various department stores I realised that you cannot buy children's cutlery at a normal price this way - only expensive gift sets. After searching the internet and reading the reviews for these "2 Children's Cutlery set" I ordered 3 sets (ie 6 of each knife, fork and spoon) for my 2 children aged 5 years and 2 years. The service was great the cutlery arrived promptly and as other reviewers have said; good quality, like adults cutlery, but just the right size for little hands. My husband commented that now the children have better cutlery than we do : -) All part of the plan. I usually hand wash the childrens dishes and cutlery, but the cutlery has been in the dishwasher a few times already and seem fine and as shiny as when they arrived.HTH others.

I bought this for my 4 year old who didn't want to use a 'baby' knife and fork anymore, but was struggling with full size cutlery. He is delighted to have his very own 'grown up' set. It is the perfect size for him, being easy to handle but big enough that I anticipate him being able to use it for a good few years. Excellent quality stainless steel I would definitely recommend this set for any 'big' boys and girls who have outgrown their soft-grip baby cutlery.

These are great!! You get 2 sets of cutlery and the prongs on the fork are pointy enough to actually pick the food up and the knife has a serrated edge that actually gives your child a chance to cut their food up properly! Many other sets of cutlery are just a case of "health and safety gone mad". Its hard enough for children to learn the hand to eye coordination it takes to feed themselves without having to contend with knives that cant cut and forks that just mush the food.

Given the weight of the cutlery I dont feel that the postage cost is expensive as others have mentioned. I've been looking for cutlery for a while and most of the sets I've seen are anything from £10 up and that's just for one set. My daughter loves them too as they look like grown up knives and forks and is loving being a big girl!
