    I bought this particular bread bin as we have a tea caddy in the same range and we are happy with the look. We prefer to have a bread bin with a flat top - which this does - and were looking forward to its arrival.

    Delivery as usual was very good.

    The outside of the bin looks good. There were a couple of blemishes on the one delivered to us which was slightly disappointing but we would have lived with them.

    The inside was another maatter. Where the sides met the floor the staples/pins used to fix the thing together had pushed the wood up making the inside floor at the edge very rough.

    At the back where it was fixed to the side the staple was actually visible being half in/half out of the side wall.

    This level of finish is unacceptable.

    I am very pleased with my bread bin. The quality , finish & design is very good.It is flat on top, which i wanted, plus it's a generous size , so plenty of room for a full loaf of bread! And the front drops down to use as a bread board. Just what i was looking for.

    I'm sorry your other reviewer had a bad experience. My bread bin is absolutely fine and very robust. It has a lovely, traditional look in my kitchen.I have bought other T&G items from this range and they are all excellent quality.
