Buggerlugs says:
I was reading my CE copy last night (for the umpteenth time) when, all of a sudden, a thought came to me which I would like to share with you all. The 100,000 limit only applies to the inner book; the tales themselves, doesn't it? If that is the case, and people are only complaining about the state of the box (that looks like a library book from Hogwarts School) - though quite why is beyond my comprehension, (see Discussion entitled IMPERFECTIONS) there is nothing to stop Amazon from making more of these and replacing the damaged ones, is there? Just so long as the 100,000 limit of the "inner" book isn't breached. The reason I made this conclusion is that the "outer" book was not part of JKR's copyrighted material, but an Amazon creation. Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree, but I thought it would be an interesting topic for discussion.
