Not the best Renaissance release--noticeable vinyl rips 4 April 2011
By Daniel W. Kelly - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase
Part arena rock, part power pop, part, I don't know--kind of like 1982 America (think "You Can Do Magic"), Charlie definitely has some catchy material, accented by some classic 80s rock synth sounds now and then. I can't quite figure out this release of the album "here comes trouble". The first ten tracks are from the original vinyl album of "here comes trouble"--and if I'm not mistaken, several of these songs actually fade early on this CD. Then we have the last 3 songs, which are all from the Charlie album "Good Morning America", so I'm not sure why they've been included here. The really mystery is track 11 - 15. These songs sound like they come from a different place and time. Anyone know where these songs originated?

Anyway, the big issue with this CD is, well, Renaissance is notoriously known for not being a legitimate reissue company, so it is rumored that their releases are all ripped from vinyl. This is the first time I've ever heard it so blatantly obvious, particularly on the first few tracks. Ouch. They didn't even try to find a clean copy of the vinyl or use an editing software to cleanup the pops and clicks...

Not a bad cd by Charlie. 3 Jun. 2005
By Harry Hollingsworth - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This is not a bad cd. While I like all the others by them better, this has some really good songs too. There's a couple of songs that are just ok. First the good songs. The best ones are Writing On The Wall, There You Go Again, Jealous, I'm A Consumer, & Five Years. The ok songs are Mind Your Own Business, Don't Let Go & a another song called Don't Stand In My Way(not the same song that's on In Pursuit Of Romance). Writing On The Wall is classic Charlie. It sounds like Good Morning America and Killer Cut. It also has three hidden bonus tracks(All My Love, Fool For Your Love & Just One More Chance). All in all this is a good cd. Just not quite as good as the other Charlie cds. This was released in 1982 in Europe only. It wasn't released in the USA until 1998. If you enjoy Charlie's other cds you will enjoy this one as well.

Good try, but Charlie cannot catch the magic of the previous six album with "Here comes trouble"
