They were the "Angels of the Holiday Camps" - the famous Butlins Redcoats. A group of mainly young men and women who epitomized the special atmosphere that has been Butlins trademark for more than seven decades.
2011 marks the 75th anniversary of the opening of the first Butlins Holiday Camp at Skegness and the birth of their legendary Redcoats, which is now celebrated in a book that was launched in January and is now available in Kindle format.
