If you are familiar with Morgan Heritage this album is a true return to form from beginning to end for them. As veterans in the business you can expect top notch production and a rock-solid combination of Roots and Lover's rock tunes. From the beginning with "Man Has Forgotten" you get hard-hitting lyrics with social commentary over a slightly hip-hop laced riddim. Moving right into "Here come the kings" to remind you about roots and culture! This album is by default a modern roots classic. Moving into the lover's rock tunes like "Call to me", "Perfect Love song" and Michael Jackson's "Girl Is Mine" shows that Heritage can balance the hardcore roots with some excellent love ballads and show that their music range is (and always has been) extremely diverse. The album ends on a high-note with what I think is their most poignant and lyrically important message with the song "Stand Up". It speaks to alot of the negative changes going on not only in Jamaica but in the Caribbean islands in general and is a call to bring back culture and heritage. Being from the West Indies I can truly identify! You really get your money's worth with this album. The only slight complaint I have is that it's too short! Nonetheless an excellent addition to the collection. Thanks Morgan Heritage for keeping roots alive!!
