Here Be Monsters - An Anthology of Monster Tales [Kindle Edition]

M.T. Murphy - Blackmail.
S.M. Reine - Something Wrong.
India Drummond - The Reaver.
Anabel Portillo - Lux.
Jeremy C. Shipp - Figs.
Samantha Anderson - Deals and Demons.
Sara Reinke - Periphery People.
M.T. Murphy - Spider Bag.

This collection of short horror tales is a bit of a Curate's Egg, some of the stories are good and some less so.

Four of the anthology stood out for me. I did like the two humourous offerings from M.T.Murphy, and Sara Reinke's Periphery People was well crafted and the type of creepy narrative that give the reader a chill as they recognise a common enough familiarity of feeling. The Reaver by India Drummond was more science-fiction than horror but again is a well written tale very reminiscent of the 1950's pulp sci-fi magazines.

I will certainly look out for other works by some of these writers.

This is one of the best horror short story collections I have read. The stories were of the highest standard.

Beautifully written and vivid I would highly recommend this to fans of the genre and even those who are not.
