English not the default language but can easily change to English before commencing play. Will play on any standard Region 2 dvd player. Good product and speedy delivery.
Watched Hercules when it was on tv some years ago and have been waiting for it to come out on DVD - have already got seasons 1 and 2 from other suppliers and decided to go for the rest all at once here. You can choose English speech - the packaging and titles on screen are in German. It is a mixture as far as episodes go - some are very good, some are downright silly - but Kevin Sorbo and Michael Hurst are good to look at! It is worth sitting through the silly ones as the good ones make up for it. Also nice that there are a few crossovers with characters from Xena in some episodes - liked Xena too.
