Okay so if you are looking for a little romance mixed with quite a few major problems and a few twists and turns along the way then this is a read for you.

Poor Mary thinking she's going on a luxury holiday with her boyfriend Nick couldn't actually be more wrong. Although the trip is work related for Nick who in actual fact is a first class idiot, the hotel is grim to say the least; Nick seems to do a disappearing act daily then in fact disappears altogether leaving poor Mary abandoned in foreign country. To Mary's despair she's not only abandoned but penniless too! The creepy hotel manager is demanding money that Mary doesn't have and to make matters worse Mary finds out that she has become a prize in a game of poker! Like you do!

However, not all is lost as local landowner the handsome Don Paulo turns up to claim his prize....Mary, the chemistry soon becomes apparent and the story takes on a new twist as the evil El Leon is out to claim Mary as his own too. Sparks begin to fly, problems begin to intensify and everything has the potential to get disastrously worse and it does!

In the end all is well that ends well, injuries and court cases a side, this story left me wanting to read into the next chapter and the next to find out exactly what was going to happen. I wasn't disappointed and would recommend this read to anyone who wants to put their feet up and get lost in the drama for an afternoon.

Katheryn Lane had me at hello! Her Latin Lover is a wonderful blend of spunkiness and romance. It has to be everyone's worst fear to be stuck in a foreign country without any friends or money. Fortunately there is a handsome man who is willing to come to the rescue of the damsel in distress, but this damsel is no one to be messed with. She has backbone to spare. Of course you can't have a romance without a little mutual attraction and lots of flat-out chemistry. If you have ever fantasized about the strong silent type this is the book for you.

Mary is abandoned by her journalist boyfriend in a foreign country, apparently 'won' in a poker game by the mysterious Don Paulo. I was baffled by Mary failing to fall apart at finding herself in such a horrendous situation or show any emotion other than whether she should allow Don Paulo to buy her lunch. The plot had potential but took ludicrous turns. I gave up half way through. If you are happy reading a novel which basically centres around a macho man bedding a vacuous female, then keep reading.
