Her Italian Boss 14 Feb. 2003
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Mass Market Paperback
Lynne Graham's story is the reason to buy this book. Poppy is nice and completely likeable while Santiano is a dreamboat. This book has everything. No one writes a latin male as well as Lynne. The story is funny and sweet. So good, that I woke up thinking about it the next morning.

Lynne Graham's sense of humor is back 31 Jan. 2003

Back Cover description: THE BOSS'S VALENTINE by Lynne Graham. Poppy sent Santiano Aragone a Valentine card to cheer him up. Santiano responded by making love to her...and suddenly Polly was expecting her boss's baby!
RAFAEL'S PROPOSAL by Kim Lawrence. Natalie's boss, Rafael Ransome, thought she couldn't be a single mom and do her job. But then he offered her a stunning career move--a Valentine's Day marriage proposal!
This Lynne Graham story is not as somber as some of her other ones. Poppy is nice and Santiano is not as Alpha male as some of her other heroes. And there are parts that are funny. This story has some of the lightness of the SPANISH GROOM. Try it.
The Kim Lawrence story was OK, I just got tired after awhile of all the strident-I'm a single mom doing my best and you're
unfeeling--stuff. I really bought this for the Lynne Graham story and was glad I did.

The Boss's Valentine 2 1/2 STARS

It was cute. She was a bit too cutesy and he was a bit too withdrawn. He had feelings for her for a long time and everyone in the work place knew it except for Poppy and possibly Santino himself. He felt protective but did not realize he was in love with her at first. I did not like how he missed out on the first months of his daughter's life because she was too weak to find other ways to tell him she lied about the Valentine's card and their child. She wrote one letter and did not even think that it did not get to him. That was naive in itself. I did like the hero. He wanted her and I am pretty sure he was faithful to her from the time they slept together on because after going after her in the beginning, he said he was done with women forever, then it flashes forward 10 months. It was good.

Rafael's Proposal 000000 STARS

I did not like this story at all. I found myself rushing to get to the end so I could start another story. It started out boring and they had a chemistry that was rushed and was not there in my opinion. It was ridiculous. Why would you humiliate the woman you know you love in front of her co-workers just so no one thinks you are having an affair??? Then why would you continue to be a man whore while being in love and letting that woman see your paramours walking in and out of your life??? What self respecting woman wants a man who would rather sleep with other women while claiming to be in love with you all that time versus just telling you how he feels??? It was all around stupid!!!!
Lynne Graham's The Valentine Boss 8 Aug. 2008

I only read The Valentine Boss and I was utterly disappointed. I rushed to read it when I read the positive reviews but expect for one or two spots, there was really no humor.

The heroine appeared stupid, she created a whole mess and made assumptions without any proof. She left after their night together - oh wait not only did she quit her job she also left the city. Had she stayed there wouldn't even have been a misunderstanding.
The misunderstandings were really unnecessary.

The hero was ok but for the first half of the book, I didn't get any real emotions from him even though there was his point of view. He stroked me as cold and lonely. It's only when he found out about the baby that his feelings were clearer.

A good couple of stories, though the characters in Ms. Graham's story were more than a little ridiculous at times, particularly with their insistence on misunderstanding one another.
