Product Description

Alice is all grown up. Running the Mad Hatter's Cupcakery and Tea Shoppe is a delicious job, until fate--and a fairy godmother with a weakness for bad boys--throws her a curveball. Now, Alice is the newest resident of Wonderland, where the Mad Hatter fuels her fantasies and thrills her body with his dark touch.

The Mad Hatter may have a voice and a body made for sex, but he takes no lovers. Ever. But a determined fairy godmother has forced Alice into Wonderland--and his arms. Now, as desire and madness converge, the Hatter must decide if he will fight the fairy godmother's mating--or fight for Alice.

Long length Novella ~ Approx. 40k words. Additional pages are sneak peeks to future books!

This is not erotica, just a good old fashioned romance.

More About the Author

Marie Hall has always held a dangerous fascination for creatures that go bump in the night. And mermaids. And of course fairies. Trolls. Unicorns. Shapeshifters. Vampires. Scottish brogues. Kilts. Beefy arms. Ummm... Bad boys! Especially the sexy ones.

Then the day came she realized apart from the sexy bad boy she married, there'd be no vampires/shapeshifters/mermaids/fairies/or even stinky trolls in her future unless she wrote about them. More often than not she can be found roaming the wild, lush tropical forest she calls her backyard (a.k.a. Hawaii) and day dreaming constantly about her latest project. Her Mad Hatter is the first book of her Kingdom Series.

The cover to the left is book 1 of my full length: Choas Time Series, release date of January 2013. Though if the Mayan Calendar was right and the world's set to end in December, well... then I hope you enjoy the picture!

1.0 out of 5 stars Bizarre - and not in a good way. 7 Jan 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I really don't know what to make of this story. I still had no clue by the end of it. The writing isn't great, and it can be quite difficult to follow - and that's not because of the lunacy of Wonderland and the Hatter; it's just poor writing. As for the story - well, I'm not sure what to make of something that seems very much like pure fanfiction based on the Tim Burton version of Alice in Wonderland. And I really don't know what to make of a sexually graphic Mad Hatter. It just seems ... odd. And not in a good, Wonderland, way.

So what we have is poor writing, a fanfiction plot line, and something that's neither fish nor fowl nor Cheshire Cat. I don't know what the rest of the books in the series are like - I hope they are much better. But I shan't be taking the risk.

1.0 out of 5 stars Boring- deleted it 18 July 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I read a few chapters and deleted it.

I recently re-read Alice's Adventures in Wonderland when I came across this on Amazon. It was free so I thought I'll give it a try.

This Mad hatter does not resemble the real Hatter in any way whatsoever. Not only because Hatter, going by John Tenniel's illustrations or Disney is old, decrepit with lunatic eyes but his speech is unrecognizable to the real Hatter. Now I understand it's a romance, hence we can't have an ugly hero. But having a "pin-up" type tall, dark handsome cliche isn't going to work either. At least try and maintain some of the real magic of Wonderland.

For those who enjoyed the actual book, reading this is torture. I was interested to see if the author could conjure up as much of the Hatter's real character and "lunatic" appearance as possible while making him a romantic figure. Tim Burton managed to manifest a subtle hint of this romantic element in his recent movie. But this Hatter deviates from the norm until they only share a name. His personality, his wacky observations and just his very essence is murdered to recreate a playboy pin up suited to a cheesy romance.

Additionally, this book would have been improved if the author managed to include some of the best bits of the actual tale of Alice.

4.0 out of 5 stars a trips down imagination road review 3 Aug 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
In order to stop the madness, the Hatter needs to find his Alice, and though his fairy Godmother, Danika, has tried to find that special Alice she's never succeeded...until now. Alice Hu has always felt different, and always felt drawn to the Mad Hatter from the story of Alice in Wonderland, so much so that she has just set up a bakery themed on the story and the characters. One night a strange woman leaves a card with a white rabbit on it and the words 'rub me', intrigued by the card, and aware that no one was watching, Alice rubs the card and finds her way to Wonderland. But things aren't as simple as turning up, the stream of Alices before her have left the Hatter sceptical and unbelieving...so much so that having Wonderland accept her may not be as straight forward as she thinks.

This is the first book that I've read in the Kingdom Series by Marie Hall (I've previously read the two books that are currently out in the Night Series) and I'm glad I did. If you're looking for a read that you can be (fairly) certain of the end to, and a twist on fairy tale characters, then this is definitely a good choice.

I did something that I don't normally do with Her Mad Hatter, and that was read other reviews before I wrote my own (I'm not sure why, I just do sometimes), and I'm a tad confused by some of them. Most notably those that say that the Hatter isn't true to character (though everyone is entitled to their opinion, this is just why I disagree with that).

4.0 out of 5 stars fab tale! 16 Mar 2014
By Debbie
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Danika is a fairly godmother, to a group of bad boys, Hatter, Hook, Jinni, Gerard and the wolf. she has been trying to get them hitched for some time, but now is faced with a dilemma: get them all sorted within 12 months.

Hatter is first up. Danika knows his love is Alice, and she has been parading many different Alices before Hatter, and one especially he though she was the one. however, she wasn't, but now, that darn fairy has dumped her great granddaughter on him, and he aint happy!

Alice Hu has been a Hatter fan forever. more so since she was 13 and had a brain tumour. in her darkest hour, she called to Hatter and he came. she hasn't forgotten him. He, however, seems not to be able to remember. Alice has 3 days to convince Hatter, and Wonderland to accept her.

Hatter is mad, but some of the things he says, well they don't seem so mad to me. he came across as a tortured soul, needing to be loved, but it had been so long since anyone loved him, he cant love himself. his reaction to this Alice is understandable, but we heard from him, and how he was dealing with it, not just from Alice and how she was.

a fab introduction into the Kingdom series, and I will be following them all. (I already have book five as it was free at some point, and still is, as is this one!)
