As my first and only polarizing filter to date this does what I need. It fits onto the end of my lens well and is easily removed when you wish to take it off. Rotating the polarizing filters (there are two of them next to each other) to achieve the effect is easily seen when looking through the camera viewfinder. If you rotate too far, simply turn it the other way a little. There were no instructions in the pack, but to be honest, a simple web search gave me all the information I required on how to use a polarizing filter for best effect- It's not rocket science.

I have one of those for £4 and one of Hoya's for nearly £40, can't say I see any difference between them in terms of ability to filter reflections. The light is the same (number of f-stops needed to rectify their slight dimness). Picture quality is pretty much the same to me (I am a noob though, it's fair to say). After a week in sand, dust and poking it with sunscreen covered fingers few times a day (which I would never even dare do to the Hoya - it was "safe" at home ;) ) it's still alive and well.

For the price (less than 4 quid, including delivery!), I don't see how you could complain, this is a terrific product. I wanted to try out a CPL without breaking the bank, and this looked like it would fit the bill. When I first took it out of its case I was a little concerned because I thought it would be too stiff - I was expecting to have issues with my lens turning against the AF when I tried to set the filter. These concerns were unfounded as it happens - the filter is stiff, but not too stiff, and I can turn it to where I need it with no problem, and it will stay there. From an optical point of view (was that a pun? wasn't meant to be!), the filter seems fine. I passed it over a grid pattern, and could see no distortion of the lines at all, at any point (centre, edge, etc). Functionally the filter appears to do exactly what it should - when I point my camera at some water, I can completely cut all the reflection out. I can also make clouds appear much more defined. I have been testing this on a Pentax K-3 with a Sigma APO DG 70-300 f4 - f5.6. I've attached a couple of photos of a birdbath, taken within seconds of each other, to demonstrate the reflection reduction. EDIT: Well I did, but after editing to correct a spelling mistake they seem to have vanished, and I can see no way to put them back :-(

All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this filter.

Good for the price. As an amateur I'm pleased with the performance of this filter. Although I have no experience with other more expensive ones.
