Lovable Henry has all kinds of problems. His parents are separated and his mum is running out of cash. But everything gets a lot worse when he picks up an old plastic leg and suddenly all kinds of strange characters are trying to get it off him...its a very involving story, and the hero is somehow a bit different from your standard kid but also recognisable. But it also has a very bitter-sweet feel for a kid's book - especially as it looks at first sight like this is going to be a mystery romp. Also a lovely feel for place - in this case a small town in the north of England.
