I love Henry and wish I had bought one of these cleaners years ago. What annoys me is that at least 15 years ago, I was in my local vacuum cleaner shop when the man in front of me asked the assistant (who was the owner) what was the best vacuum cleaner he had because his had just broken and he desperately needed another. Without hesitation the shop owner recommended the Henry, and this stayed in my mind, although I didn't have the sense to follow his advice as I have bought 3 or 4 vacuum cleaners since then, all of which have needed replacing after various periods of time.

I bought this model because I have pets, and although they don't generally shed that much, this can be a problem when they are moulting. As my previous vacuum cleaner wasn't altogether successful in removing the pet hair, I was able to give the Henry a proper test straightaway. What a difference! I started with the regular brush just to see how it would do, and it completely cleaned the carpet, with not a sign of a dog hair left! My carpet hadn't looked so clean for ages. I didn't actually use the turbo brush for quite a while as the regular brush does such a good job. The cleaner comes with a variety of tools, comes with two metal tubes which means taller people don't have to stoop, it has a really long hose which gives you a good reach plus a really long lead. I can actually hoover upstairs and leave the cleaner plugged in upstairs and do my stairs and hall without unplugging which is great.

I went on the Numatic website after buying Henry, and it says they are designed to work 12 hours a day, so I expect to have Henry for a long time. These Henrys are made to last, and there were reports of people still using 25 year old machines! It's nice to know there are still companies out there which manufacture products to last.

Finally I have to say I love Henry's smiling face.

This item really is the business. For years I used to use a similar type of hoover called a "Mastervac" at work, so I know how reliable and effective these types of vacuum cleaners are, with lots of storage capacity for dirt.

My old electrolux cylinder vacuum cleaner was pretty useless from the day I bought it around 10 years ago, but I have been soldiering on with it, dreading each time I need to vacuum. I was hoping the motor might break down to be honest but it never did. It was forever losing suction and the small bags filled up in no time. I needed to clean the filters every time I used it and even then it soon lost suction again. Dust was coming out and the gasket seal loose. There was no easy way to store the cable unlike the Henry. I eventually lost patience with it.

This Henry is a superb item with great suction and is a pleasure to use. The regular cleaning head is large and sturdy. It works just fine on autosave economy power but can be increased to high power if needed. I had forgotten that hoovering can be a pleasure.
When fitting the tubes together, push hard into the floor to engage them properly. They will slide together for a snug fit. It's much harder to get a grip if you try and hold one tube in each hand and push that way. One slight criticism is the ease of replacing different heads onto the tube. It is quite difficult to disengage them quickly and quite a bit of tugging is involved. That could be improved but is not a major point. Just don't fit the head too tightly.
I ordered the Henry "Xtra" model because I have fluff that seems to cling to my upstairs carpets and my old electrolux cylinder vacuum was particularly useless at removing this. I thought the airbrush tool would come in handy for this and it certainly has.

I love this product. It has 2 intensities of suction and works a treat. It comes with a range of accessories. My only complaint would be that the instructions just have pictures (no words ????) so there is no indication of what the different heads are for, although I did manage to get this off the website.

I am a proud new owner of Henryxtra Hoover. It is no where near as loud as my previous hoover. The suction power is amazingly powerful. My carpets look as though i have shampooed them as well as hoovered them. The extra long lead means i can plug it in downstairs and hoover every room upstairs. You will not regret it if you purchase this item. I am a critic generally and have no complaints whatsoever just pure compliments. Years ago i thought how can a hoover that looks like a toy be any good. I was soooo wrong. I kept seeing them in hotels, shops, church after that and i thought if big places use them, they must be good. Put it this way even my kids fight over it, need i say more.

I am so pleased with my Henry Extra. It is a robust piece of kit and I can understand why it is popular with commercial cleaners. It is very simply made and there isn't much to go wrong.

It's a superb cleaner with excellent suction power and the extra rotating brush, though it is good, is by no means essential. It's very easy to use and the extra long power cable is a useful bonus.

The bags were one thing that initially put me off this cleaner. My old cleaner,a Sebo, had tiny bags which needed to be replaced all too often and they were expensive too; so I was initially drawn to a bagless cleaner. The Henry bags, however, are enormous and I haven't had to change the bag yet, despite using my Henry for over a month.

The positive reviews for the Henry made me change my mind about choosing a bagless cleaner and I have not regretted my choice.

Buy this cleaner, it's brilliant and it's British made too!
