This collection of paper dolls was a wonderful find! Tom Tierney beautifully re-creates the amazing costumes of 16th-century England.Also included is a brief history of this notorious king and his wives. There are nine dolls in all, three representing Henry at different ages and six depicting his wives. Each of the wives is accompanied by two lavish gowns as well as a brief summary of her life and when she wore these specific dresses. I would recommended this collection not only to a paper doll collector but to anyone who has an interest in history.

I brought these dolls for my six year old daughter. She loved hearing the history about each wife. She cut around the dolls but I had to do the fiddly parts but we liked doing it as a team. She dresses them and plays with them and it was a great purchase. The artwork was stunning. I will buy other ones in the series now I know how good they are.
