The early pioneers and adventurers of global circumnavigation such as Sir Francis Chichester, Sir Robin Knox-Johnson and Sir Ranulph Fiennes were all adopters of Henri-Lloyds revolutionary gear. Today it is the choice of modern champions such as three times Olympic Gold Medallist Ben Ainslie CBE, Americass Cup yacht crews, as well as Formula One Team MERCEDES GP PETRONAS whilst at the same time it has become a favourite amongst many current music, sports and media personalities.
Henri Lloyds reputation as a premium lifestyle brand was born in the 1980s when the über cool Milanese youth movement known as the Paninari adopted the Henri Lloyd Consort jacket as part of their uniform. A collaboration with inspirational Italian designer Olmes Carretti followed and so Henri Lloyds reputation and credentials in the world of fashion was established. This continues today with the launch of HL Jeans the younger more extrovert sibling of Henri Lloyd including the recent introduction of HLMusic, a collaboration with PRS for Music to pioneer new musical talent.
