From the Author

All the most useful Windows 98 information available!
Hi everybody, I'm Steve Nelson, the writer who compiled the Microsoft Help Desk for Windows 98 using Microsoft's technical support (also known as "KNOWLEDGEBASE") archives. This was a really exciting project and resulted in a great book for serious Windows 98 users. In a nutshell, the Microsoft Help Desk for Windows 98 collects and distills all of the most useful technical support information that Microsoft Corporation has concerning Windows 98. Pretty much, every question that can be answered and every problem that can be solved is covered. Sincerely, Steve Nelson

Great Help Desk 29 Dec 2004
By Ladybubbles VINE™ VOICE
Format:Paperback
This book is great when you get into trouble - it is really what it says a "help desk". When the usual instruction manuals fail you, this is the book to turn to. It will tell you where you have gone wrong or what hiccup has occurred so that you can rectify it.

I have used it again and again for both myself and for my friends.

Quite simply poor! 29 Oct 2003

Format:Paperback
The usual Microsoft official publication - big, bulky, wide margins and wide-spaced text, with tit-bits of info in amongst the verbiage. The problems it deals with are very specific, and 2 years after buying it I've never used it. Do not waste your money.

Rave reviews led me to purchase and guess what, not too impressed.

If you have lots of problems with Windows then it is probably ok, but waste of money for those who only have infrequent problems.

The book has not helped me at all. Still, I will keep it on the bookshelf just in case
